The following projects highlight a few examples of CEC's expertise in site assessment, remediation, and sustainable solutions.
50 Acre SiteThis area was formerly an agricultural site. CEC was involved in the early stages of planning and design. In collaboration with DERM and the property owner, we addressed environmental issues to ensure the project progressed successfully with the Miami-Dade County planning and zoning department.
14 Acre SiteCEC was contracted during this project's design phase, ensuring ample time for the owner, CEC, and DERM to properly plan all the necessary environmental work for planning, zoning, and construction plan approval.

Assisted Living FacilityDuring construction, this assisted living facility encountered delays due to DERM regulations. CEC was promptly dispatched to the site to collect the required samples, submit technical reports (including sample results, a soil management plan, and a dust control plan), and obtain the necessary approvals to resume construction.
PreschoolContaminants were found in the soil surrounding the property. CEC collected samples to identify the area of concern. A crew was dispatched to excavate the contaminated soil, dispose of the hazardous material, and fill the excavation with clean fill. This was done to ensure a safe environment for the children.

Charter SchoolWhile the school was in the process of planning and zoning for an extension, the project was delayed by DERM due to environmental concerns. CEC collected the necessary samples, negotiated with DERM, and produced technical reports that enabled the school to successfully obtain the necessary permits for the upcoming construction work.

Marco Island ResidenceHomeowners filed an insurance claim due to recent weather events, which was denied.
